The Basis of Brain Rehab Book

How Will You Improve?

Brain Rehabilitation Can Lead To Long-Lasting Improvements.

Have you ever wished that your brain would work a little faster, that you would be able to think clearer, or be better able to focus? In The Basis of Brain Rehabilitation, Dr. Hatch explains how your brain functions, the brain-body connection, and things you can do to maximize your physical and emotional health.

What Do You Know About Your Brain?

We understand very little about the organ we prize the most.

The 3 pounds of nervous tissue that separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom has eluded the most brilliant minds for thousands of years. Fortunately, new technology has allowed us to study the brain and nervous system in action; providing a whole new understanding of our inner workings. While our knowledge of the brain and nervous system is rapidly growing, our desire to improve doesn't always keep up.

Our brains control so much more than our thoughts. They direct a symphony of activity every second allowing us to live and thrive.

Challenge Everything You Know

Disconnects In The Brain Can Lead To A Host of Health Issues

If you are suffering and nothing you have tried is working, consider a different approach. Our brains and nervous system are responsible for so much more than we realize. Research has shown that the brain-body connection affects overall health in countless ways, including the way people think, feel, act, and react.

This book is an exceptional resource for anyone who wants to understand basic brain functioning, how the body and brain interrelate, and what brain rehabilitation is all about. It is written specifically for a lay audience, so the text is understandable to those without medical training. The book is full of wonderful examples and analogies that make the more complex topics easy to comprehend. I have written and edited medical publications for 25 years, and even I came away an incredible amount of new knowledge and “ah ha!” moments. Kudos to Dr. Hatch for contributing a valuable tool to the field of patient education!

Dr. John Hatch, my baby brother is without a doubt the most kind, compassionate, and selfless person I know. His desire to care for and heal other human beings physically, emotionally, mentally and in many cases spiritually is apparent the monument you meet him.  It is his passion. He attacks every case with such earnest, honest, and relentless determination you can't help but believe in him and his methods.

Dr. Hatch literally saved my life!  I experienced a really traumatic brain injury during a ski crash.  I was competing for the U.S. Ski Team.  The doctors told me I would never ski again.  I was literally a shell of myself, my short term memory was completely gone and I was unable to function at a high enough level to live by myself.  I moved back in with my family and resigned to the fact that I would never live a 'normal' life again.  I had really bad headaches, dizziness and vertigo all the time!  After a year I was introduced to Dr. Hatch.  He had complete confidence that he could get me back to 100%.  Within 3 months Dr. Hatch had me completely symptom free!  In another 3 months I returned to competitive skiing and went on to compete in World Cups and narrowly missed the 2014 Olympics.

"I was diagnosed with RA several months ago, it started in February of 2016.  I have seen four different Dr.'s and prayed to God that I would find somebody that could help me, and a neighbor told me about Dr. John Hatch.  I can honestly say he is helping me more than the rheumatologist.  The rheumatologist suggested I do not do any exercise.  I have taken what I've learned from all the sources and tried to do the right thing.  I believe in the story of Naaman in the bible where he is told to go down and wash in the river Jordan to get rid of his leprosy.  Bottom line is that was the dirtiest river in town and I can understand his thinking, "What? Seven times in the dirtiest river, I'll have to find another river just to get cleaned up."  I thought, "Okay these exercises might seem unusual and different from what I've ever heard of before.  But you know what, I'm doing them and it's making a difference and I know I'm getting more help here than at the rheumatologist.  I highly recommend you listen to what he says and do what he says.  I you're in pain you'll get rid of it."

Dr. Hatch skillfully walks the reader through a series of difficult scientific topics and breaks them down with familiar and descriptive examples to help grasp each concept. I especially liked the explanation of how neuron pools can work to activate more than one area. The parallel was drawn between neuron activation and road work. Dr. Hatch explains that, ". . .the fastest route to a destination is a freeway. But if the freeway has traffic or road work, there are alternate routes to get to your destination." This is what can happen in the brain and that concept is called "Neuroplasticity." An analysis of all major body systems to identify the location of an individual's imbalance is key to brain rehabilitation.  How exciting to learn about the emerging field of Functional Neurology!"

I have been acquainted with the idea of functional neurology for a couple of years; however, before I read Dr Hatch's explanation, I could not clearly understand the brain/body connection. After reading "The Basis of Brain Rehab" I only know the basics, but how enlightening are those basics!

As Dr. Hatch explains functional neurology, it is clear that this protocol is a permanent solution to healing.

I am a believer in functional neurology. I have witnessed the significant progress it in the life of my 26-year-old, mildly autistic son. Is he off the spectrum? No. However, he has made remarkable changes, and only time will tell how far he can go.

"The Basis of Brain Rehab" provides a look into the basics of functional neurology for those who find "functional neurology" a foreign term. LIkewise, the book is especially helpful if one is acquainted with, or has experienced healing from, a functional neurologist.

"The Basis of Brain Rehab" will open your eyes to the future of a radically innovative way to heal the body without drugs or surgical treatment. What's more, It is significant that this illuminating information is available for all!"
